Laura Rivanera's practice unfolds through painting and drawing, poetry and performance.
Born in 1989 in Geneva, Laura Rivanera obtained a Bachelor of Art in painting/drawing and then a Master of Art in mediation/education at the Geneva School of Art and Design (HEAD - Genève) in 2018.
In 2017, she co-founded the collective AFTER- with Greg Clément, Isabel Guerrero and Magali Raspail and exhibited at the Alianza Francesa gallery in Lima (Peru).
In parallel to her visual work, she sings and plays several instruments and has performed on stages in Romandie and France.
Working in socio-cultural animation with young people for over ten years, she is currently an instructor in Maison de Quartier and does remplacements as a teacher for high school in Visual Arts.
Her experience in the field of social and school work has led her to experiment with the field of transmission through the prism of visual arts, for an approach to creation in the service of 'letting-go', well-being and experimentation.
She currently benefits from a workshop in residence within the Geneva association of the Vélodrome.
